This is a really cool picture. Unfortunately, this device would not be registerable in the SCA today. Counterchaging complex objects over ordinaries hasn't been allowed since the early 1990's. It looks cool from a modern standpoint but it's not peiod. Is there maybe a more recent device that could be used? Or, maybe keep the device, and remove the "good device" caption. My only regret is that it took me so long to find this. This isn't a 'good' device and although it's striking and pretty, I'll change it to something heraldically sound when I get the chance, with apologies to the original contributor and armiger to whom the device belongs.
