Please stop removing my personal attributions. If I wrote it, I want it to be identified as mine, so if someone has a problem they can talk to me about it.

I dont want to hide behind anonymity, especially for my views on stuff like "The Renaissence never happened".

I dont mind it being edited, or even amended, but for scholarship to work you have to be able to stand behind your work.

Make me upset about this, and I'll find that quote from St Jerome about proper attribution *grin*
On the page Humanists I have added a section about SCA personas being humanists. It contains a bullet point beginning with the words " You can quote several Greek texts ...". Down the bottom someone's added a comment "Specific names to drop could be ...". Can you take that comment and do your HTML trick to make it a side-note to the bullet point above about greek texts? I'd do it myself but now I can't remember where you explained how to do it and my HTML skills are fairly rough.

I want to make some more "Your SCA Persona is a ..." bits on various other pages too but I'll get this one right first.

Thanx,
Hello from a Wikipedian
Hi Tobin -- I noticed the article on Cunnan at Wikipedia, and dropped by to check it out. Very cool! I also noticed the authorship discussion. In case you aren't already aware of it, there are a lot of good resources at Meta Wikipedia and at Meatball Wiki. Good luck! Wikipedia:User:Bcorr 64.91.162.225 04:51, 25 Dec 2003 (EST)

So, any idea what the story with symbols is? I tried to move the &#8224;thelmearc page to the right spot and it said it couldn't submit the form. And you will have noticed that your recipe pages are a mess too. Also, your change of the name &#8224;thelmearc on the Kingdom page made no difference to me. I'm not sure if thie is a viewer specific thing. Oh, and get some sleep!
Tobin, I have noticed that the List Keeper link redirects to List keeper which wants to redirect to Lists Officer, but doesn't. Is this to be expected? -- Cian Gillebhrath 13:26, 17 Jun 2004 (EST)
ps. the Aethelmearc above still looks funky to me, but not correct.
Hi, I am a librarian at Central Michigan University and I added links to several of your pages dealing with national histories (see France and Germany). I was amused by the comical history attempts on the prior pages and thought I would add a link to better the histories. I was quite mystified to see these labelled as possible link spam. :]

I was going to blog Cunnan at my information literacy blog (lorenzen.blogspot.com) pointing out how outsiders can improve flawed history sites but if you think I am spam...

I appreciate your link vigillance. Could you let me know how you determine real link adds from spam? (Note what you reply may be used on my blog.)

Thanks,

Best wishes,

What are the chances of allowing midi file uploads? As you can probably tell I've started putting in dances, and midi music would be helpful.
Features turned off
Is one of the features you have turned off the suffix stuff for wikis like weapons, so the suffix no longer looks like it is part of the linked word?
update database errors
Twice today I have got error messages when trying to do admin stuff (delete a page helmets and block a user 209.91.155.113). However, the task seems to have succeeded in both cases. I lost the first message but the second one was:<br>
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:

(SQL query hidden)

from within function "LogPage::saveContent". MySQL returned error "1054: Unknown column 'log_params' in 'field list' (localhost)".<br>
Trouble with left curly brackets
I have been trying to implement footnoting like wikipedia, by using the id attribute within a cite command (normal anchors don't work). The Template:Note page looks to be working fine, but looking at the html for the finished page (see either the sandbox or branle) instead of the variable getting transported I get ampersand hash 123 semi-colon (&#123;). Do you have any idea of what's causnig the trouble? Conrad Leviston 09:11, 29 Jun 2005 (CDT)
