Between 1102 and 1109 Raymond and Bertrand (his illegitimate son) beseiged the city (Raymond himself died in 1105) and ifnally conquered it. Tripoli then existed as a County within the Kingdom of Jerusalem until, after the death of its Count Raymond III in 1187 (in the aftermath of the [[battle]] of [[Hattin]], it was absorbed into Antioch ....</div>
