In the introduction to the book: &amp;quot;Note, by the way, that Pegge&amp;#039;s reading of &amp;#039;curose&amp;#039; for this word in The Forme of Cury (No. 179) was simply a misreading.&amp;quot; [p. 33]&lt;br /&gt;
