Lugs can help guide the [[head]] of the implement to sit straighter on its [[shaft]] assuming the head and lugs are straight themsleves. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
These lugs are an oft forgotten part of reproduction [[medieval]] [[tool]]s but are intrinsic to their form.&lt;br /&gt;
