			Make slivers of dough in the form of hedgehogs' spines, and fry them lightly in grease or oil.
	Option 1 - Get a big pig (whole) and 6 piglets. Stuff the piglets into the body of the big pig. Sew the big pig up. Parboil it. Make fried short pastry and force it into the big pigs stomach cavity. Spit roast the pig, colour it with saffron and serve it.

			Take the stomachs of six or seven pigs, one larger than the rest. Stuff the stomachs with a mixture of ground pork, eggs, strong spice powder (likely including pepper and cloves), saffron, salt, and [[currants]] (the original raisin type). Sew the stomachs securely and parboil them. Stick them full of the bits of fried dough so that they look like hedgehogs without legs. Roast on a spit until done, coloring them with saffron in a thin batter (probably of eggs and flour).
	Option 2 - Boil the Piglets, cover them with short pastry and fry then up. Shove them into the stomach cavity of the big pig and spit roast it, Colour it with saffron and serve.
