A '''Fleam''' is an [[heraldry|heraldic]] [[device]] representing a tool similar to a [[razor]].  Fleams were used primarily for [[blood]]letting in [[period]], and a fleam and cup would have been a common tool for any [[medieval]] surgeon.

In the [[SCA]], the fleam is a [[reserved charge]]. It is only allowed to be used as a [[badge]] for [[chirurgeon]]s.
