[[Medieval]] '''dice''' are cubes made from [[wood]], minerals, [[bone]] or [[ivory]], with each of the numbers 1 to 6 on a face. They were used in [[gambling]] and [[dice game]]s, and existed well before the development of [[playing card]]s. 

Loaded dice are dice weighted in some way, to cause favourable (or unfavourable) results to appear more or less often than random.  Frequently the carrying of loaded dice was taken as proof of dishonesty and justification for complaint.
