			St Swithin was a 9th century bishop of Winchester with a reputation for posthumous miracles. He is also associated with the weather. Supposedly, if it rains on St Swithin's Day (15th of July), then it will rain for the next forty days, but if St Swithin's Day is fair, it will not rain for the next 40.
