He has been active as a [[book heraldry|book herald]] since about A.S. XXX, though his [[Award of Arms]] is dated to A.S. XXI though no fault of his own.

Walraven has presented classes at the SCA Known World Heraldic Symposia on the subject of Polish heraldic style and the name submission/registration process. He has also presented classes at West Kingdom Heraldic Collegia on the subject of names.
