The '''College of St Basil the Great''' is the name of the [[SCA]] [[group]] at the [[University]] of [[Western Australia]] in [[Perth]], [[Australia]]. The [[College]] is part of the [[Barony of Aneala]] in the [[Kingdom of Lochac]]. It was started in [[A.S. XXXVI]] ([[2001]]) and currently has about 30 [[member]]s. Within the University it is sometimes called the '''UWASCA''' or the '''UWA Medieval Society'''.

The current [[seneschal]] is Sivaroobini Kalaimani (Roobi), however due to extended absence Jacques currently holds the position.

'''Inter-College War (ICW)''' is an annual [[SCA]] [[event]] in [[Lochac]] at which all the [[College]]s of the kingdom meet for 4 days of [[camping]] (well actually indoors bunkhouses are usually provided), [[war]], [[drinking]], [[fighting]], drinking, [[feasting]], drinking, fighting, tomfoolery... etc. Each year a different University hosts ICW, and it's generally held during the midsemester break - perfect timing for the middle of [[winter]]! It can be a very amusing event, very rowdy, and tons of fun. To give you some idea, think of a large congregation of [[university]] students from all across [[Australia]] in [[garb]] and [[armour]] attempting to recreate pre-[[16th century]], ultimately resulting in much entertainment, new friends, incriminating photos and an extraordinary hangover.

'''Inter-College War (ICW)''' is an annual [[SCA]] [[event]] in [[Lochac]] at which all the [[College]]s of the kingdom meet for 4 days of [[camping]] (well actually indoors bunkhouses are usually provided), [[war]], [[drinking]], [[fighting]], drinking, [[feasting]], drinking, fighting, tomfoolery... etc. Each year a different University hosts ICW, and it's generally held during the midsemester break - perfect timing for the middle of [[winter]]! It can be a very amusing event, very rowdy, and tons of fun. To give you some idea, think of a large congregation of [[university]] students from all across [[Australia]] in [[garb]] and [[armour]] attempting to recreate pre-[[16th century]], ultimately resulting in much entertainment, new friends, incriminating photos and an extraordinary hangover.
 

ICW began in June [[A.S. XXIX]] ([[1994]]), as a challenge between [[College of St Aldhelm|St Aldhelm]] and [[College of St Ursula|St Ursula]] during "The Defense of The [[Realm]]", an event held at the [[Crossroads]] site in [[Torlyon]].

'''Blessed Herman the Cripple''' was a [[mathematician]], [[musician]] and [[monk]]. He was considered to be a genius, yet his parents gave him to the [[church]] as a child because he was so horribly crippled and was therefore no use for working in the fields.

The [[SCA]] '''College of Blessed Herman the Cripple''' (Adelaide University) is located in the [[Barony of Innilgard]] (Adelaide). It was the first [[college]] in [[Lochac]] to be founded, and one of the first [[group]]s established in Lochac, with a very old and rich history.

The first Queen of Lochac, Duchess Guðrun, is a former Scholar and Seneschal of the College, and during her second reign as Queen, gave Blessed Herman the right to refer to itself as "The Queen's College".

The college has played a large part in the [[Inter-College War]]s, both as a host and regularly the victor. Often known as "the Friendly College", their mascot is [[Fred]], the Fire Breathing [[Goat]] of Doom. Assisting [[Fred]] is Oscar the Ram.
