Within a few years, the Principality of Ansteora became the Kingdom of Ansteorra, and Northkeep its northernmost [[shire]]. The [[name]] Northkeep and [[device]] were [[authorisation|passed]] in [[A.S. XIX]]. The group was elevated to [[Barony]] in November [[A.S. XXXI]] and remains to be the kingdom's most northern Barony.

The term is frequently used to refer to untanned bovine hide, although it can refer to other skins as well. Generally speaking, the ''green'' hide is stretched, defleshed, dehaired and dried. Historically, raw hide has been used for a many things, and notes the earliest stage of leather technology, eventually supplanted during the Egyptian period by oil cured and tawed skins. Within a few years, the Principality of Anteora became the Kingdom of Ansteorra, and Northkeep it's northernmost shire.
The name Northkeep and device were passed: [[A.S. XIX]]. The group was elevated to [[Barony]], November [[A.S. XXXI]]. For many years Northkeep was the most northern Ansteorran [[shire]], and remains the most northern Barony. It currently has one canton, [[Chemin Noir]], and several former ones.
