This list is taken from a database maintained by the [[Kingdom]] [[Seneschal]] and also contains up to date lists of group contacts. Furthermore, the database contains a mapping from [[Australia]]n groups to Postcodes so that you can enter your postcode or suburb name into the web form and it will tell you what group you belong to.

Some interesting fluff about groups in the [[Kingdom of Lochac]]:

* All groups have a set of postcodes assigned, except groups in [[New Zealand]] and colleges. The [[registrar]]'s database uses the same mapping so that your membership card will have the correct group on it based on your postcode.
* [[New Zealand]] groups are assigned by telephone area code.
* [[College]]s are assigned by personal choice -- if you say on your membership form that you're in a college then that's what the [[registrar]] will put on your membership card and that's what the [[Kingdom]] [[Seneschal]] will assign your membership to.
* If you belong to a college then you also count towards the membership of the group in which you live (not the group where the college is based), so that if you live in Arrowsreach but are a member of St Monicas then your membership will count towards Arrowsreach and not Krae Glas.

Membership assignment to groups is important -- to count as an official group, a [[shire]], [[canton]], or [[college]] must have 5 members and a [[barony]] must have 25. Note that as of October 2004 all members, including family and associate members, count towards group numbers.

'''Melbourne''' is the second largest city in [[Australia]] and is the capital of the state of [[Victoria]]. From Federation to 1927 it was the nation's capital, until the purpose-built capital city of [[Canberra]] was sufficiently constructed.

For the [[SCA]], a lot of Melbourne is part of the Barony of [[Stormhold]], including the [[Canton of Dubh Thrian]] in the northern suburbs and the [[College of St Bartholomew]] at Melbourne University (Parkville). The south-eastern suburbs are the [[Shire of Krae Glas]], and the Bass Coast area is the proposed [[Canton of Iseldir]] (previously Bryn a Mor). The shire also includes the [[College of St Monica]] at Monash University (Clayton). The eastern suburbs of Melbourne are part of the [[Shire of Arrowsreach]] ([[Why Arrowsreach isn't part of Stormhold|which is independent of Stormhold]]).

The '''Barony of Stormhold''' is a [[SCA]] [[groups|branch]] in the [[Kingdom of Lochac]]. It covers central, western and northern [[Melbourne]], [[Australia]] plus Western Victoria, being the oldest group in the state. The [[Barony]] has two [[Canton]]s . The [[Canton of Dubh Thrian]] covers the northern suburbs while the [[Canton of Caern Fail]] covers Ballarat, Bendigo, the Golden Triangle and the Surf Coast. The [[College of St Bartholomew]] is based at the [[University]] of Melbourne. The [[Shire of Arrowsreach]] and the [[Shire of Krae Glas]] were formerly cantons of the barony.

The Barony is headed up by a [[Baron]] and [[Baroness]]. The current Baron and Baroness, Sir Hugh the Little & Baroness Therasa Commins, are the 6th couple to hold the Barony for the [[Crown]].
