Of Ginger

Ginger in Greeke is called Zingiberis, it groweth in Arabie, his growth is manye and infinite small rootes: in smell and savour not much unlyke to Pepper. Choose sayth Diascorides of the rootes hereof thus. Take them for the best and principal, which have not bene eaten, neither gnawen with wormes: for they have their wromes also as al other rootes have.
